CELEBRATING AT OUR JUNE 1st MEETING

Mansfield Women's Club was founded in 1997 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Mansfield and the surrounding area.  Our two main areas of our mission statement are...

Charity...to raise money in various ways throughout the year, including an annual major fundraiser, in order to give back in positive ways to our community. Our main giving focus is for the health, welfare and education of women and children.

Friendships ...to promote friendship among women of various ages in our community by providing opportunities for member participation in a variety of settings including luncheons, committees, interest groups and special events.

History of MWC ...Dee Irick and Pat Miller held an organizational meeting in November, 1997, with the purpose of organizing a club for women of all ages, all interests, and all walks of life to combine their potential and quest for learning. In January, 1998, about 50 women attended the first meeting and by April, 1998, charter membership totaled 111.

To this date, Mansfield Women's Club has given back over $940,000 to our community through various fundraisers including major gifts to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, Mansfield Cares, Harvesting International Mansfield Food Bank, & Feed the Kids Summer Program. We also support the Mansfield Independent School District with scholarships to each of the high schools as a way to honor our past presidents.

Other past charity recipients include: All Star Equestrian; Meals on Wheels; Common Ground Network; Mansfield Mission Center; Girls, Inc.; Safe Haven Shelter; Cancer Cares; St Jude's Food Pantry; CASA; American Cancer Society; The Parenting Center; Alliance for Children; Main Street Theater; Mansfield Library; MAC Center; Mansfield Nursing Home; MISD Clothes Closet; Mansfield Police Department Toys for Tots Program at Christmas; Mansfield Historical Society; Mansfield Rotary Club; Mansfield Kiwanis Club; Mansfield Animal Shelter; Ronald McDonald House Ft. Worth & Cuisine for Healing.

We received this glowing letter from Governor Greg Abbott congratulating our organization for our 25 years of service to the greater Mansfield area on our 25th birthday celebration!  Our members have held fundraisers, donated hours of community service and hundreds of items to other charities in our area.  We are certainly proud of all we have done to support and help others in our city and area.
